As Patrick commenced his own super-hero changing routine, I went out to load up my bike for our ride downtown to the late drop-off location. [...] We’ve moved to Portland and are getting settled in our new home. Nearly every day I come across something that I think would be worth writing about on the Hen Waller. There’s so much to experience as a new resident, and so much to appreciate for people like us: the farmers markets, the co-op grocery, [...] Here is a photo of the Japanese maple next to our new digs in Portland. I hear it is the largest of its kind in the city. There’s a reason we haven’t posted in aeons, and won’t be posting much over the next few weeks. Yes, that’s right, Hen Waller is moving! Holly and I are packing up the chicken tractor (and, um, a bunch of other stuff) and moving to Portland, Oregon. To answer the question on everyone’s lips, our fellow [...] Aug 2000 We move to 386 49th St, Oakland, California, from Seattle via San Francisco. We set up house with a rotating cast of housemates and varying approaches to shared housing . . . with mixed success.
